Subsequently, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) CEPI area Tarapur meeting vide NO. BO/JD (APC)/CEPI/TB-2/B-5032 Dated 25-11-2019 at MPCB Board Head office , Sion , the necessity of establishing an intermediate treatment facility was recognized to prevent the mass closure of industries, particularly small-scale units with spatial constraints. In compliance with these directives, we invested significantly and commissioned a 300 KLPD High COD/TDS facility to function as an integral part of the CETP. Our facility ensures that the CETP effluent consistently meets discharge norms by reducing COD to below 3,500 mg/L and TDS to below 2,100 mg/L. Since our commencement in 2021, the performance of the CETP has shown significant improvement. Notably, the Comprehensive Environmental Pollution Index (CEPI) score for the Tarapur region has decreased from 93.69 in 2018 to 59.8 in March 2024, indicating a substantial reduction in pollution levels. We Treat High COD/TDS effluent generated from various small scale industries around Tarapur Industrial Area. This facility helps to Reduce COD & TDS if HCOD/TDS effluent to the acceptable limits of CETP, thus improving performance of CETP to achieve Standards set by MPCB.
